• Donors will make tax deductible donations to the program in $50 increments
• When a donor makes a tax deductible donation to the Foundation, the amount they donate will be turned into Hackney Bucks and circulated to the public with the donor’s horse/pony/business picture in the middle of the Hackney Buck ($50 = 1 Hackney Buck)
• Donors receive a tax write-off and a new avenue to advertise

Redeeming Hackney Bucks

Anyone who is a member of the American Hackney Horse Society who has completed at least one of the activities to earn Hackney Bucks and has been verified (owners, trainers, exhibitors, breeders, etc.).

Q: Who can earn Hackney Bucks?
A: Anyone who is a current member of the American Hackney Horse Society (AHHS) is eligible to earn Hackney Bucks. Not a member? Click here to become a member.

Q: How do I earn Hackney Bucks?
A: You can earn Hackney Bucks in a variety of ways. The “EARNING HACKNEY BUCKS” panel above shows a detailed chart describing all the ways you can earn Hackney Bucks.

Q: Do my Hackney Bucks expire?
A: Hackney Bucks do not expire! You can save them or spend them as you earn them.

Q: What if I spend less than I have? (Ex: I have $200 in Hackney Bucks and I spend $180)
A: This is up to the business/individual with whom you are redeeming them. If you are only $20 away, we are sure you will be able to find something to spend that on with the person accepting your Hackney Bucks.

Q: Once I have completed an activity to earn Hackney Bucks, how do I receive them?
A: Complete the Verification Form and mail ti with any required proof to: The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544. Once this is received by The Hackney Foundation and your activity is verified, The Hackney Foundation will mail you the Hackney Bucks.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of activities I can do to earn Hackney Bucks?
A: No, there is not a limit. Your activities must be verified by The Hackney Foundation through the Verification Form, to validate that said activity aligns with the requirements. The Hackney Foundation reserves the right to deem any activity unacceptable.

Q: When do I need to provide verification for my activities to earn Hackney Bucks?
A: After you participate in the activity, please submit the required proof, along with the verification form by email to HackneyBucks@gmail.com or by mail to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544.

Q: After I complete an activity to earn Hackney Bucks, where do I send my Verification Form to receive my Hackney Bucks?

Q: How long does it take for me to receive my Hackney Bucks to spend?
A: Once The Hackney Foundation receives your Verification Form, they will process your activity and mail your Hackney Bucks within 15-20 days.

A: Anyone! We appreciate your support!

Q: How do I donate and where do I send my donation?
A: Thank you for doing your part by donating! You can donate online by clicking here. To donate by mail, download and print the Donor Registration Form and return with your check by mail to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544 (please write “The Buck Stops Here” on the memo line of your check).

Q: I made a donation and do not have a Hackney pony or horse. What goes onto my Hackney Buck?
A: Anything of your choosing that the Hackney Foundation approves. Feel free to use this space to advertise your business, friends and family, or anything else that will grow our equine industry.

Q: What do I get for my donation?
A: Thank you for donating! Your donation is tax deductible, of course. In addition to that, you will have the opportunity to send us a picture of your pony, business, horse, rider/driver, etc., with their name, to be displayed  on the amount of Hackney Bucks that your donation generated. For example, if you donate $5,000, that will generate 100 Hackney Bucks. Your pony, business, horse or ride/driver will go on 100 Hackney Bucks that will be circulated within our industry.

Q: I am a vendor. How do I accept Hackney Bucks?
A: Great! Thanks for doing your part. All you need to do is click here to complete the Vendor Registration Form online OR click here to download and print the Vendor Registration Form to return by email to HackneyBucks@gmail.com or by mail to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544, and we will add you to the database. We will recognize you on social media, list you as someone who accepts Hackney Bucks and email you a social media graphic announcing you have done your part, and we will mail you an 12″ x 18″ sign to hang at your establishment or take to shows.

Q: I accept Hackney Bucks. How can I promote the program?
A: Thanks for accepting Hackney Bucks! You will receive a social media graphic that you can proudly post stating that you have done your part and you are proud to accept Hackney Bucks. Hang your 12″ x 18″ sign everywhere you go, whether at home or on the road. Lastly, word of mouth! Challenge everyone to do their part and promote The Buck Stops Here, whether accepting, redeeming or participating!

Q: How do I redeem my Hackney Bucks?
A: Thank you for doing your part! You have done the work, now it’s time to spend the Hackney Bucks you earned! You can find the vendors who accept Hackney Bucks by clicking the “REDEEMING HACKNEY BUCKS • VENDORS” panel above.

Q: I accept Hackney Bucks as a form of payment. How do I get reimbursed?
A: You will mail your accepted Hackney Bucks to The Buck Stops Here, P.O. Box 1284, Plainfield, IL 60544 and The Hackney Foundation will send you a check to your address on file within 15-20 days.

Q: How much is a Hackney Buck worth?
A: One Hackney Buck is worth $50. For example, if you have 5 Hackney Bucks (worth $50 apiece), you will be able to redeem them for $250 worth of services/products.
